Sales and Customer Service (Intern)

SCOPE AND GENERAL PURPOSE

The Sales and Customer Service Intern will be responsible for driving sales growth, delivering exceptional customer service, and promoting Prestige Kente’s products. This role involves building strong customer relationships, managing customer inquiries, and ensuring a seamless shopping experience both online and offline.

RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES (KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS)

Sales Activities:

  • Meet or exceed sales targets by actively promoting Prestige Kente products.
  • Assist customers in making product selections that meet their needs and preferences.
  • Offer product demonstrations and provide detailed information on Kente products, their cultural significance, and usage.
  • Handle point-of-sale operations, including billing, invoicing, and managing cash or electronic transactions.
  • Follow up on sales leads, negotiate terms, and close deals.

Customer Service:

  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone, email, social media, and in person.
  • Resolve customer complaints and issues, ensuring a positive outcome that aligns with company policies.
  • Provide after-sales support, including managing exchanges, returns, and feedback collection.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, track interactions, and follow up on unresolved issues.
  • Ensure that customers are informed of any ongoing promotions, new arrivals, or special events.

Product Knowledge:

  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of Prestige Kente’s product catalog, including new designs, collections, and customization options.
  • Educate customers on the history and importance of Kente, explaining its relevance in various cultural and social contexts.

Store Operations (for physical locations):

  • Ensure that the sales floor is organized, clean, and visually appealing to attract customers.
  • Assist in stock management, including inventory checks, stock replenishment, and product display.
  • Assist in coordinating deliveries, shipping, and tracking customer orders.

E-commerce and Online Sales Support:

  • Assist with managing online orders through the company website, social media platforms, and third-party e-commerce sites.
  • Provide virtual customer service support via live chat and social media messaging.
  • Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure timely delivery of online purchases.

Relationship Management:

  • Build and nurture relationships with repeat customers, encouraging loyalty and referrals.
  • Attend events and exhibitions to promote Prestige Kente products and engage with potential clients.
